Happy Birthday Veatrice!
Sprint has launched a new campaign and frankly, it is so spot on! The entire campaign builds upon social networking and takes advantage of how we all use our phones to keep in touch. But in this case, the keeping in touch is pretty targeted. The target in this case is one Veatrice. Now that’s not a common name. Maybe 100 years ago it was common. You see, Veatrice is turning 100 years old this year. I haven’t been able to uncover her actual birthday (it’s some time in April), but who cares?
Sprint has given her a mobile phone and an email address as part of a campaign they are calling “Random Acts of Togetherness”. Everyone is invited to wish her a happy birthday using her given phone number, her email or by sending a text. You can also wish her a happy birthday on Facebook by visiting the Sprint page
Why is this so cool? Because it is. Because we can do it. Because Veatrice probably never in her 100 years ever imagined that her 100th birthday would turn out like this. So do it! Send her a birthday wish in whatever way you want. If you love Sprint, do it to show support for their ad campaign. If you hate Sprint, do it to overload their network!! Either way, do it!
And if you want to know more about Veatrice, here ya go:
